Cleburne Football League

What age can my child start participating in tackle football?

In order for a player to be eligible to participate in our tackle football program he/she must be in at least the 1st grade and not turn 8 years old before Sept 1st in the year of the upcoming season. No kindergarten players.

What is the cost of registration and what is included in my registration fee?

Regular registration fees Football:

Tackle $

Fees include: Jersey, Insurance, Per Player field fees.

Returning Cheer $

New Cheer: $

Returning cheer cost does not include replacement items if needed.

What equipment do I need to purchase? Does CFL provide any equipment?

Equipment the parents must purchase for participants are:

  • Tackle Divisions
    Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Practice jersey(any color), Practice pants(any color), Black Game Pants, Football Cleats, Black football socks, Mouth guard (Including attachment strap)

  • Flag Divisions
    Football Cleats, Black Shorts, Mouth Guard, Black football socks

  • Cheerleading
    Mascot and Cheer Uniforms are included in registration fees

Riddell Online Store

All players are required to order their equipment through our online store with Riddell

  • STEP 1
    Log onto teamstores.riddell.com on or after 5/27/2020 

  • STEP 2
    Type in our Online Store ID cleburnefb2 & click SUBMIT.

  • STEP 3
    Select team merchandise and add to shopping cart.

  • STEP 4
    Once shopping is complete, click CHECKOUT & either register as a new customer or log in with previously registered information.

ORDERS MUST BE COMPLETED ON OR BEFORE 7/5/2020

Orders will be processed & shipped within 3 weeks of the end date (pending product availability)

What form of payment is accepted at registration?

Check, money orders, credit cards, debit cards and cash, or, if you register on-line at the league web site, you may pay using credit cards. Payment for registration is due at the time of registration.

Outside of the registration fee, are there any additional fees that may incur before or once the season begins?

Yes. Possible additional costs but it not limited to this list: Helmet, shoulder pads, practice pants and/or jersey, mouth pieces, cleats, socks, snacks, training equipment, homecoming items, admission fees to regular games, playoff games, super bowl and other team-related items. Each team also organizes fundraisers each season that goes towards their end of the year team party, and any other team associated costs during the year. ex:pizza, ice, ice cream, etc.

Can my child pick a different team to play on for the upcoming season?

Participants may choose at time of registration which coach they would prefer to play for, however this does not guarantee he/she will be placed on this team for the regular season.

If I register late or move in from out of town can I still be placed on a team?

Cleburne Football League may choose accept late registrations up to the league registration cut off date presented to BVFA. 

How many coaches are allowed on the sideline during games?

The official sideline personnel for each team shall consist of no more than eight (8) MYFA approved individuals.

When are games and practices?

No practice shall be held, other than organized football activities (i.e., football camps, spring football, 7-on-7), before the first day of August each year. Teams are allowed no more than one practice per day. No more than 4 practices (including scrimmages) in a 7-day period shall be allowed. During season this means 4 organized meetings, including game.

Each team's head coach is responsible for scheduling day and times for all practices.

What is the age requirement for cheerleaders?

Cheerleading is open to PreK to 6th grade cheerleaders. Our program will allow your child the opportunity to grow and enhance their cheerleading skills, whether for recreation or to prepare for high school cheerleading.

Where will all the games be played?

Games will be played at either Cleburne Sports Complex or other Brazos Valley member locations. All field locations are listed on this website.
